Revised standard from 2021 contains both editorial and technical changes. The application of some test methods has expanded and requires the use of new test processes. The requirements for measuring instruments have been clarified, e.g. the calibration.
The wording of the definitions has been changed, the appendix to the standard has been expanded with examples, but the product qualification, conformity review and packaging technology processes defined by the standard have also changed at several points, which provide the backbone of ESD preventive protection.
During trainings, we can provide corporate ESD coordinators / managers comprehensive information about the changes and demonstrate in practical ways how they can apply the described new processes in their day-to-day work.
